Masaka high court has  granted Kawempe North Member of Parliament Muhammad Ssegirinya and his Makindye West colleague   Allan Ssewanyana a cash bail of UGX 20Million  each.

The two had been remanded to prison on September 07  for allegedly being behind the ongoing killings in greater Masaka.

Victoria Nakintu who was in charge of the case  who  granted bail  to the MPs  however ordered that the two leave behind their passports and report to court twice a month.

One of the MPs’ lawyers Erias  Lukwago, who seemed content with the decision,  noted that though his clients had been granted bail,  it was late to make the payments and that the two were to spend the night in the prison.

Lukwago promised to work around the clock until charges against their clients were dropped.

Currently over 33 suspects are behind bars over the murders now rampant especially in greater Masaka.
