Former Premier League star, Darren Bent and Rangers legend, Ally McCoist, has said that Cristiano Ronaldo moving to Manchester City really would shock football.

Reports are making the rounds that the former Real Madrid and Manchester United superstar might just end up in Manchester City before the close of the transfer window.

It is reported that Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes has offered him to Pep Guardiola’s side and that he would be available for just £26million.

Bent and McCoist see it as an unbelievable story, “Absolutely not,” Bent told talkSPORT on the thought of Ronaldo joining Man City.

“His affiliation with Manchester United, what he did at that football club, they’d love him to come back. There’s no way on this planet that he’s going to City.”

McCoist added: “I’m with Benty. Plus, he’s not a Manchester City player. Centre forwards are generally different – you would take an out-and-out goalscorer which perhaps would look out of place in a Manchester City team.”
