Crested Secondary School, located in Makindye Division, a Kampala suburb, hit the heights again in last year’s senior six exams, with two of the best students scoring 20 points in sciences.

Rogers Mukiibi and Chris Agaba earned their places among the greatest brains the school has ever produced, when each scored maximum (20) points in PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics), plus the subsidiaries.

“I thank God for my performance and now my dream to study engineering is coming true,” said overjoyed Mukiibi.

In an exclusive interview with The District Focus, the Director of studies at Crested Secondary School, Mr. Wabusigo Peter attributed the learners’ good performance to hard work, teamwork, relentless dedication among the staff, as well as God’s grace.

“Getting excellent results at Crested Secondary School is not a new thing. It has actually become a norm. In 2017, the school was ranked among the top forty A’ Level schools. In that year, the school’s best brain, Daniel Ssekamate got 20 points in PCM, while classmates like Charles Kabango and Samson Bwogi got 18,”said the head teacher, Canon Lydia Ibingira

While science subjects remain a challenge to many schools, Crested S.S flourishes here. Charles Kawooya, the 2019 U.A.C.E star, still got 20 points in PCM. The next two of the best in sciences last year got 18 points each, in PCB and PCM.

AkochMajok, the school’s best U.C.E 2019 candidate, scored Agg.9, with distinctions in all science subjects.

The school boasts of a quiet and dust-free environment, experienced staff, and an affordable fees payment system. For any parent looking for a school that can propel their child to greater academic heights, Crested Secondary School is the place to go.

Crested Secondary School has built a culture of an all-around responsible teaching and mentorship of students, enforcement of the necessary discipline for present and future, the teachers go an extra mile.

By 2012, Crested was ranked 19th top best A-Level performing school in the whole country, and this is no mean achievement.

Every year, over 95 per cent of the A-Level leavers join universities, and as such Crested has become a household name in most of the prestigious Universities in Uganda, with students being admitted to study Engineering, Law, Medicine, Bachelor of Commerce and so on.

The graduates from the above courses are employed in various sectors of the economy and, are doing very well.

These old girls and boys haven’t forgotten Crested, they are in close touch. They support the school whenever called upon.

Teachers at Crested S.S go an extra mile, says the headteacher.
