Unknown Hoodlums Injure Kabale SPC

Mathew Akampurira, a Special Police Constable-SPC attached to Kabale Central Police Station is nursing wounds at Kabale Parents Clinic after being hacked by unidentified assailants. The assailants Akampurira at highland stage along Kabale-Kisoro road in Central division, Kabale town around 1:40 am this morning. 

Kabale District Police Commander, Abel Ruganza, says the assailants cut their victim twice on the head and left leg.  Elly Maate, Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson, says that Akampurira had withdrawn from night patrol and was on his way home in Rwakaraba in Northern division of Kabale Municipality to sleep when he was attacked. 

He says that they have opened inquiries at Kabale central police station vide Kabale SD O4/03/06/2021.

The attack on Akampurira comes a day after unidentified people hacked to death 34-year-old Abraham Twinamatsiko, a resident of Kirwa village, Bushuro parish, Kitumba Sub-county in Kabale district and  dumped his body along the road in Rwagana village in Southern division.

Residents stumbled on the lifeless body on Wednesday morning. At least three other people have been hacked by unidentified thugs in Kabale town over the last three weeks.
