Uganda National Bureau of Standards-UNBS has issued a list of 109 companies certified to produce 127 brands of Sanitisers and Disinfectants as the country battles the second wave of COVID-19.
Sylvia Kirabo, the UNBS head of Communication, says that the move is in line with their mandate of ensuring the quality and safety of Sanitizers and Disinfectants on the market.
“UNBS continues to provide free technical assistance and Standards to promote the production of quality and safe sanitisers and disinfectants and encourage manufacturers to embrace certification of these products before putting them on the market,” she said in a short statement issued on Tuesday evening.
The list of the companies is available on the UNBS website.
