You may perhaps be among the keenest followers of local football and so, the Uganda Premier League. It is perhaps news now that you know that Morley Byekwaso has been at KCCA Football Club since 2016 working under Mike Mutebi as assistant coach.
Some pundits have concluded that Morley Byekwaso’s invisible hand has been the reason why Mike Mutebi succeeded at KCCA to the extent of being called the most successful manager in the club’s history.
God has finally answered Byekwaso’s sincere prayers. It is time for him to shine, now that the log in his way has been removed.
My contacts at Lugogo revealed to me two days ago that no man , in spite of all the ability to coach impeccably, may express himself freely when arrogant Mutebi is the one in charge. Mike Mutebi is the only man who knows, he thinks.
It must be true, like I was told, that Byekwaso ceased feeling at home any more, at Lugogo, especially since he led the Hippos, the country’s Under-20 Football team, to remarkable success in the recently concluded Under-20 Afcon in Mauritania. The head coach at the club envied him.
Quiet and reserved, Byekwaso narrowly made history in Mauritania. We were beaten 2-0 by tested Ghana’s Under-20 football team.
We at the district Focus can now say: Morley Byekwaso is free at last. Please, with me here, congratulate the now famous coach, gaffer Morley Byekwaso.
Byekwaso treats media men and women amazingly. He never barks at reporters. We wish you success at legend Omondi stadium and elsewhere gaffer.
KCCA Football Club will host BUL-Football Club today at Lugogo. The VEK club is currently sitting sixth on the 15-team Uganda Premier League log.
KCCA FC announced to the general public on March 29, 2021 that they had sacked the then head Coach Mike Mutebi.
Morley Byekwaso is now the one in charge at the Lugogo-based Football Club, as interim head coach.
