Fire Guts Grace House Dormitory at Kings College Budo

Fire has on Tuesday morning gutted ‘Grace House’ dormitory, one of the halls of residence at Kings College Budo, in Wakiso District.

According to Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigire, the fire is believed to have started from one building housing the Senior Three and one dormitories at around 7:00 am” while students were engaged in their morning preparations.

“So far, fire and rescue team have managed to contain the fire from spreading any further,” Owoyesigire said on Tuesday morning.

Adding that there hasn’t been any causality as all students had gone for their breakfast by the time the fire broke out.

Huge plumes of smoke have since then been seen billowing into the sky as fire ravaged Grace House – a girls’ dormitory.
