Members of Parliament from the Greater North Parliamentary Forum (GNPF) have conducted a 3-day monitoring exercise of NUSAF3 Projects in the Karamoja Sub region.
The 18-member team of MPs, plus 3 Ministers, were led by the Min. of State for Karamoja affairs, Hon. Moses Kizige. Other Ministers were Hon. Fr. Simon Lokodo, the Minister of State for Office of the President (Ethics and Integrity) and Hon. Peter Lokeris, the Minister of State for Works and Transport (Works).
The team managed to monitor projects in Karamoja Districts including; Nabilatuk, Nakapiripiriti, Motoro, Amudat, Napak, Kotido and Kabong.

They visited several NUSAF3 development projects including a 60acre cassava farm at Nathionoit Parish in Nabilatuk District, and a Settlement Based Development Initiative (SBDI) Amora Akiyiar in Kakomongore Sub County, Nakapiripirit District.
Other development projects visited in several Districts included Apiary, Crop farming and Vegetable growing.
The Minister of State for Karamoja Affairs, Hon. Moses Kizige also officiated at the graduation of community memmebvsr who had successfully completed a course in Settlement Based Development Initiatives. The graduands were trained by a local agricultural training partner from Israel called Agromax.
Minister Kizige congratulated the graduands for the successful completion of the course and urged them to use the knowledge acquired to better themselves and their communities. He also commended NUSAF 3 and Agromax for the efforts and resources invested in bettering the lives of people in Karamoja sub region.
Members of parliament were generally impressed with the success of the project especially in the Settlement Based Development Initiatives and agricultural improvement.
