COVID 19: Bad News to Coronavirus Recovered Patients -WHO

It is true that Coronavirus pandemic has caused alot of tention. Everyone is in a Harry to protect his or her life. The good news is that there are some who had contracted the virus and recovered. But WHO has sound a warning to them.

At this point in the pandemic, there is not enough evidence about the effectiveness of the antibody-mediated immunity to guarantee the accuracy of an ‘immunity passport’ or ‘risk-free certificate,”

“people who assume that they are immune to a second infection because they have received a positive test result may ignore public health advice. The use of those certificates may therefore increase the risk of continued transmission,” Said WHO in a scientific brief.

The statemnt comes after many scientists claimed that those who had recovered had an added advantage of the coronavirus antibody immune boost. WHO has warned governments which had planned to absorb back in the society those who had recovered and allow them continue with their normal life to take precaution.

The current infections around the world stands at an estimate of 2.9 million confirmed cases, 204 thousand death and 842 thousand recoveries. The least affected continent, Africa has 27 385 confirmed cases, 1 297 death and 8 172 recoveries according to John Hopkins University.
